1.be a citizen of a country other than the PRC and in good health both mentally and
physically;
2. be an academically excellent holder of a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent under the age of 35 when applying for a Master’s program;
3. be an academically excellent holder of a Master’s degree or its equivalent under the
age of 40 when applying for a doctoral program;
4.Majors such as the first language or other country's languages like French or
English are not supported by scholarship;
5. Applicants must not hold another Scholarship.

3.Take note of notifications concerning the application progress, evaluation, and scholarship results.

VI.Evaluation and Acceptance
All information provided in admissions must be consistent with the information on the applicant’s passport and visa or residence permit. After the applicant’s materials are reviewed, the department of the major applied for will set up an interview with the applicant. The time of the interview will be announced by the relevant department.
After the evaluation of materials and the interview have been passed,theapplicantwillbe admitted. After admission, the school will perform another review of the materials and the applicant’s personal information. If any inconsistencies, false documentation, etc. are detected, they will be grounds for immediate disqualification of scholarship eligibility.
Scholarship eligibility will be determined finally by theChinese Scholarship Council(CSC) and the results will be announced each year before July.
VII.Additional Information
1. If the scholarship winner does not register at Nankai at the appointed time, then the scholarship will not be held for the applicant.
2. Upon arriving in China, the scholarship winner may not transfer to different school or major.
3. The scholarship period is limited to the school year in which the applicant was admitted, and cannot in theory be extended.
4. The scholarship winner must participate in the yearly scholarship evaluation according to the set guidelines.

1.Applicant should log in to “Nankai University International Student Online Service Registration Platform” (website:https://nankai.at0086.cn/StuApplication) and fill out the application information and submit. Please note the “application number” on the system.
Please note:Applicants for the Chinese Government Scholarship must submit the Foreigner Physical Examination Form or the Chinese resident permit page of their passport. If the Foreigner Physical Examination From is missing any sections, does not have the applicant’s picture or has not been officially stamped with a seal, does not have a doctor or hospital’s stamp or signature, then it will be marked invalid. The results of the examination must be valid within 6 weeks. Please ensure that the period of the validity of the results and registration on campus are consistent.

The program, launched in accordance with exchange and cooperation agreements
between Chinese universities and foreign partners, is designed to support general and
senior scholars for a training session of no more than 12 months.
Degree Education Programs sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of People’s Republic of China is designed to foster high-end business officials and managerial personnel for the recipient countries, offering one-year and two-year master programs as well as three-year doctoral programs for the purpose of educating high-end and inter-disciplinary talent working in the applied fields of government, trade, foreign affairs, agriculture, technology, education, culture and health, building intellectual capacity and facilitating the economic and social development of the recipient countries. These programs provide assistance to governmental officials, research fellows, and senior managerial personnel on their master and doctor education in China, which are fully conducted in English. Admission requirements include a bachelor’s degree, relevant working experiences, and decent physical conditions, essential for the high-compact curriculum needed for the degrees. The programs are playing a more and more important role in stimulating economic cooperation between China and students’ home countries, which the host governments are attaching great attention to this program.
MOFCOM Scholarship-CSC Program is set up by Ministry of Commerce of People’s Republic of China to further strengthen the communication and cooperation between China and other countries as well as to develop talents for developing countries. Starting from 2015, MOFCOM Scholarship-CSC Program mainly sponsors the young and the middle-aged talents from recipient countries to pursue their postgraduate degree education in China. China Scholarship Council is entrusted to administer the Scholarship.
