On September 8th, 2024, the Orientation Ceremony for the School of International Education and College of Chinese Language and Culture, hosted by Yuan Fang, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee and vice president of the college, was held at the Oriental Art Building in Balitai. A total of 227 Chinese and international freshmen participated. 

During the ceremony, a class advisor appointment ritual was conducted. Xia Quansheng, a representative of the 2024 undergraduate class advisors, extended a warm welcome to all freshmen, elucidated the Nankai school motto, and put forward three expectations for the freshmen. Hu Wenbo, a graduate student in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, Ouyang Lan (of Turkish nationality), a graduate student in Chinese International Education, and Zheng Charen, a Korean exchange student, spoke as representatives of the freshmen.

 Liu Jia, the college dean, addressed the freshmen with encouragement and introduced the college’s history, situation, and academic integrity education, urging them to strive to become outstanding international Chinese education talents with exceptional abilities. The college is focused on establishing a collaborative training mechanism for Chinese and international students to facilitate in-depth exchanges and contribute to the innovative development of international Chinese education.
