A Delegation of Japanese Secondary School Educators Visited the School of International Education and the College of Chinese Language and Culture of Nankai University

On October 18th, 2024, a delegation of 7 Japanese secondary school educators led by Tanizaki Kensaku, the principal of Japanese Soka Gakuen Schools (Middle Schools), accompanied by Zhang Qingmin, the director of the International Department of Tianjin Nankai High School, visited the School of International Education and the College of Chinese Language and Culture of Nankai University. The vice president of the college Wang Hongchang and the relevant person in charge of the International Student Enrollment Office received the delegation. 

Wang Hongchang extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation and made a detailed introduction to the history, discipline construction, academic research, and personnel training of Nankai University and the Institute. Tanizaki expressed his sincere gratitude to Nankai University for its warm reception and introduced the historical origin and profound friendship between Daisaku Ikeda, founder of Soka Gakuen in Japan, and Premier Zhou Enlai, an outstanding alumnus of Nankai University. He congratulated Nankai University on its 105th anniversary. Subsequently, the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on the recruitment and training of international students in our school and the construction of characteristic courses centering on Chinese traditional culture and made preliminary discussions on possible cooperation opportunities and cooperation models in the future.
